The BT Tyro LHE160 is fitted with a 48V battery that brings extra power and speed to handle slopes during light-duty transport in small stores, warehouses and on lorries. It can transport and lift loads up to 1600 kg. The LHE160 is available with li-ion technology for energy efficiency and a series of options to fit your daily use. It combines the features of a powered pallet truck with the flexibility of a hand pallet truck. The BT tyro is the perfect solution for hand pallet truck users who need the extra benefits of good ergonomics and a boost in productivity.
Ergonomic handle
The intuitive and easy-to-use handle includes buttons to control the forks with either hand, a safety button, a PIN code and turtle mode as standard for safe operations.
Simply robust
The thickness and welding of both fork and frame ensure robustness. The battery compartment comes with a protection plate to prevent damage to battery.
Low temperature battery
The Low temperature battery (optional) enables the battery to operate in temperatures as low as -18
Castor wheels
Castor wheels can be fitted optionally on both sides of the truck. These wheels provide extra stability on uneven floors.
High traction drive wheel
Depending on the condition of the floor (uneven ground, slippery floor), a high-traction Polyurethane drive wheel is available (optional) to increase drivability.
Excellent manouverability in narrow spaces

Which applications is the entry-level BT Tyro pallet truck suitable for?
Our entry-level powered pallet trucks can support your occasional horizontal transport of lighter goods. Ideal for handling goods in small shops or supermarkets, for applications on board/the tail lift of a lorry or for light-duty activities on small production sites.
Are the BT Tyro pallet trucks suitable for use on gradients?
Both our BT Tyro LHE130B and LHE150 are suitable for occasional use on slopes. For steeper gradients (up to 10%), we recommend using the LHE160 for an extra push.
How to charge the battery on this entry-level forklift range?
The BT Tyro LHE-models come with an exchangeable cassette type battery that is easy to take out and put back in place. Charging can easily be done anywhere by plugging it into a power outlet.
How long does the battery on the BT Tyro pallet trucks last?
All models in the BT Tyro range come with li-ion technology. Depending on model and application the battery can last a couple of hours and needs only a few hours to charge. A second battery can be ordered as an option on the LHE-models.

Can the light-duty BT Tyro pallet truck be used in cold store applications?
No, the recommended temperature range is between +5°C and +40°C.
You can order a low temperature battery as an option on the LHE150 & LHE160 for use at lower temperatures down to -18°C. For cold store applications we recommend our Toyota BT Levio and BT Staxio models that can operate at temperatures down to -30°C.
What are the main differences between the BT Tyro LHE130B, LHE150 and LHE160?
Besides the different load & battery capacity on each of the 3 models, the LHE150 can be fitted with extra options such as castor wheels and the LHE160 offers more power for increased gradeability on slopes and a slightly higher speed. The LHE130B has no additional options.
What warranty is offered on the BT Tyro range?
We offer a 12-month/1000 working hours (whichever comes first) warranty for BT Tyro units sold in your market, provided that all the required maintenance conditions have been duly followed by the customer and interventions were carried out by trained technicians, as specified in the operator manual.
