Campaigning for a healthy and productive working environment
At Toyota Material Handling Europe we consider the health and safety of our employees and our customers very important. That’s why we have been a campaign partner of EU OSHA for more than 10 years now.
Safer operations
With our continued partnership with EU OSHA and the new campaign 2020-2022 ‘Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load’, we want to strive for a working environment that is safe, healthy and productive for employees and customers. Effective management of safety and health risks in the workplace, benefits everyone involved. It is good for workers, good for society as a whole and good for business.
The campaign Lighten the Load aims to raise awareness of work-related Muscoloskeletal Disorders and the need to manage them and to promote a culture of risk prevention. It will only be successful if everyone in the workplace is well informed about the risks and the measures that can be taken to prevent them. Another success factor in preventing accidents and ill health at work is to create a culture of risk prevention, where everyone understands that safety and health is important to the organisation as a whole.
The Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards
The Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards serve as a platform for sharing information and promoting good practices across Europe with the help from concrete examples of organisations. EU-OSHA would like to invite all our colleagues, European employers, or other business partners and professionals on Operational Health and Safety at the workplace levels to participate. The winners will receive an award at a ceremony in April 2022.

EU-OSHA partnership
In 2013, Toyota joined the steering committee of the EU-OSHA benchmarking initiative, exchanging best practices with other EU-OSHA partners with a thorough understanding of customer safety as well as how and when accidents occur. Previous collaborations include the 2010-2011 campaign on ’Safe Maintenance’, the 2012-2013 operation, ’Working Together for Risk Prevention’, the 2014-2015 campaign ‘Healthy Workplaces Manage Stress’, the 2016-2017 campaign ‘Healthy Workplace for All Ages’ and latest Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances 2018-2019.
