The BT Levio LWI160 is the first Toyota truck designed solely around a modular Li-ion battery concept making the powered pallet truck very compact, incredibly light and highly energy efficient.

Low energy consumption thanks to the maintenance free lithium-ion battery. Available with three battery capacities, external or integrated quick and easy charging for greater flexibility as well as onboard lorry charging.

Increased work safety: with the drawbar turned to its full extent, the lowering of the forks is disabled in order to reduce the risk of foot injuries (optimised corner control) Less wear and tear to the floors and devices thanks to reduced speed when the forks are lowered.

The LWI160 is incredibly light with a weight around 269kg and extremely manoeuvrable with a lenght of 419 mm and a width of 726 mm. The reduced chassis results in a truck that can be manoeuvrabled in the tightest of spaces with an unrestricted view of the forks.

Automatic speed reduction when cornering depending on steering arm angle, reducing risk related to load instability or foot injuries. Improved maneouvrability, ideal for weight restricted areas, lighter steering and increased slope performance.

Smart trucks come with telematics hardware as standard. These trucks can easily be connected with I_Site from Toyota, offering insights into battery management, geolocation, shocks, and much more.

Intelligent Energy Pack

Reducing costs by charging frequently

A key advantage of lithium-ion batteries is that you can charge them when you have time to do so, this is what we call ‘opportunity charging’: you charge your truck when it’s standing still or during your break. If your operation allows for frequent opportunity charging or if you can organise around it, you won't just benefit in terms of increased flexibility and longer operating times, you can also potentially reduce the size of your batteries. Opportunity charging will save you money, diminish CO2 emissions and lessen electricity consumption. 

Intelligent Energy Packs

This philosophy has led to the creation of Intelligent Energy Packs. Per truck you can choose the Intelligent Energy Pack that suits your operational and charging habits best. With good charging habits, even the smallest energy pack will keep your fleet going around the clock. To ensure maximum flexibility and to suit all applications, we offer three packs depending on the truck type.

Standard

Standard pack

  • Normal operating conditions
  • When you can regularly opportunity charge, 2-3 times during 1 shift
  • To be combined with the charger that suits your application intensity best:

Built-in charger (30A)

Charging fully will take you 1 h 20 min and gives you 3 h operating time.
A 30 min charge in between gives 1 h 20 min more operating time.

External charger (40A)

Charging fully will take you 1 h 00 min and gives you 3 h operating time.
A 30 min charge in between gives 1 h 45 min more operating time.

These figures are based on the EN16796 cycle and 100% utilisation rate; meaning the machine is continuously used throughout the working day. However, as most of our customers have a utilisation rate of around 50%, the actual operating time will probably be twice the time stated above. So, please take your utilisation rate into account.

By default, all Toyota smart chargers are equipped with Dynamic Power Limitation (DPL) in order to cut down on 'power peaks'. This helps you reduce energy usage and costs. Note that when DPL is activated, charging times may differ as the majority of power will be sent to the truck that needs it the most when charging multiple forklifts simultaneously.

Intensive

Intensive pack

  • When you can occasionally opportunity charge, 1-2 times during 1 shift
  • To be combined with the charger that suits your application intensity best:

Built-in charger (30A)

Charging fully will take you 2 h 50 min and gives 7 h operating time.
A 30 min charge in between gives 1 h 20 min more operating time.

External charger (80A)

Charging fully will take you 1 h 00 min and gives 7 h operating time.
A 30 min charge in between gives 3 h 30 min more operating time.

Charging fully will take you less than 1 h and gives 10 h operating time.
A 30 min charge in between gives  5 h 20 min more operating time.
