Logiconomi - Trends and innovations in logistics
Logiconomi is a communication platform created by Toyota Material Handling Europe to host presentations and discussions on trends, innovations and technologies in the world of logistics, for the benefit of logistics experts and TMHE personnel. Content is developed through research and consultation with major logistics operators, progressive solution providers and centres of innovation. Our aim is to support and engage the logistics industry to continuously improve efficiency, eliminate waste and thereby reduce cost and environmental impact.
Partners
Collaboration is central to the concept of Logiconomi, to enrich the platform with progressive ideas and thinking from all branches of business that could have an impact on the logistics industry. Consequently, we have developed co-operations and partnerships with a number of leading companies, all of whom have contributed their knowledge and experience to create Logiconomi Forums and TV programmes. This level of collaboration also allows partners to work jointly to develop solutions for the future.

Progressive Energy
The latest programme in the Logiconomi TV series looks at two important areas of development: hydrogen and solar power. Suzy Valgaeren from Air Products brings an up-to-date report about the plans they have to make hydrogen power a reality for many more businesses and consumers in Europe. Also in the programme is an interview with Pascal Olin from Swedish solar company Alight, bringing focus to the latest developments in this important area of energy generation.

What is Logiconomi?
The Logiconomi programme is a platform to share the concepts, ideas and solutions that emerge from these collaborations, presented in short and simple interviews, presentations and discussion forums. The programme is open to all logistics leaders and includes events and short ‘Logiconomi TV’ programmes all of which can be accessed from this site. Collaboration is at the heart of the Logiconomi programme. Logistics is a fast-moving business that covers multiple channels and relies on many technologies. No single organisation has all the answers. That’s why the Logiconomi programme welcomes input from a diverse range of sources.
Sharing ideas
This includes major players such as Microsoft, Bosch and Ericsson, who presented their ideas and concepts at the 2019 Logiconomi Forum, as well as smaller progressive companies and start-ups that have the freedom and creativity to develop completely fresh concepts.The Logiconomi programme researches these new concepts by using a ‘technology radar’ and works with contributors to share ideas in a simple and efficient way.
